GoodBarber is an all-in-one platform for building native iOS and Android apps — plus Progressive Web Apps — without writing a line of code. From content apps and media to mobile commerce, you design, configure, and publish from a single back office. Design tools, hosting, CMS, push notifications, analytics, and payment processing are all included in the subscription — no separate tools, no hidden fees. Trusted by customers in 152 countries since 2011, at roughly one-tenth the cost of custom development.
What you can build
GoodBarber covers two categories of mobile app, each with its own back-office tuned to the task.
Content Apps are built to publish and grow an audience. Typical uses: local newspaper or media outlet, radio station, podcast, online course platform, tourism guide, events app, school or community intranet, faith organization, content creator channel, non-profit, or employee-communication hub. The back-office gives you an integrated CMS, real-time content updates without resubmitting the app to the stores, targeted push notifications, user groups and membership tiers, community spaces, and a full monetization stack — including in-app subscriptions via Apple StoreKit and Google Play Billing.
eCommerce Apps are built to sell. Typical uses: online store, restaurant with click & collect or home delivery, grocery, local pickup & delivery, any business needing a mobile storefront. The back-office gives you a product catalog with variants, inventory management, cart and checkout, order tracking, and 22 integrated payment methods — Stripe, PayPal, Apple Pay, Klarna, regional gateways — all installed in one click, with 0% commission on every transaction.
How it works
Everything is configured from a single web-based back-office. Three independent engines then generate the app in three formats simultaneously: a native Swift app for iOS, a native Kotlin app for Android, and a Progressive Web App for the browser. One configuration, three outputs — mobile, tablet, and desktop all covered.
The apps are truly native compiled binaries, not hybrid frameworks or WebView wrappers. They are submitted to the App Store and Google Play through guided workflows built into the platform.
What's included in every plan
Design tools, hosting, database, CMS, push notifications, analytics, and payment processing are bundled in the subscription — no separate tools, no hidden third-party contracts. The design system enforces WCAG accessibility standards, golden-ratio typography, and multi-device spacing automatically, so every app looks professionally built without needing a designer.
Extensibility
An Extension Store with 190+ add-ons — analytics trackers, automation tools (Zapier, Make), CRM connectors (HubSpot, Salesforce), social commerce, loyalty programs, appointment booking, live video and audio — extends the platform without development work. For needs not covered by any extension, an AI-assisted builder lets customers create their own custom extensions by prompting in natural language.
Compliance built in
A Privacy Center handles GDPR, permissions, consent management (IAB TCF v2), Terms of Service, and data-sovereignty requirements — all data hosted on European servers. Apps built for children automatically disable every feature incompatible with Apple's Kids Category and Google Play's Designed for Families program.
Who it's for
GoodBarber is used by three types of customers: publishers, community managers, and small to mid-sized organizations who need a branded native app without a development team; local businesses and online merchants who need a mobile storefront with integrated checkout; and marketing teams at larger companies who need to ship a professional app quickly without going through IT or an agency. Web agencies and resellers manage a portfolio of client apps from a single account under a dedicated Reseller plan.
Track record
Founded in 2011, active in 152 countries, with apps downloaded every 4 seconds across the App Store and Google Play. Three consecutive years of the BPI Excellence label (2022–2024). Total cost of ownership is approximately one-tenth of custom mobile development.

I was skeptical about no-code but Bubble proved me wrong. I built a B2B client portal with complex permissions, Stripe billing, and real-time notifications. The learning curve is real — give yourself 2–3 weeks — but once it clicks, you're unstoppable. Performance has been solid at our scale.
Coming from Webflow, Bubble felt overwhelming at first. The editor UX isn't as polished, and performance on complex apps can feel sluggish. That said, nothing else lets you build a full database-driven app without code. The community forums are excellent — almost every problem has been solved by someone.
Used Bubble to ship our MVP in 6 weeks, which was genuinely impressive. But once we needed real capacity, the jump from Growth to Team ($29 to $529/mo) was brutal for a bootstrapped startup. The server unit model is also confusing to reason about. Would love a mid-tier option.

Bubble now suggests the next workflow action based on your current logic using an embedded AI assistant — dramatically speeds up building complex multi-step flows.
Completely redesigned responsive layout system with per-breakpoint controls. Existing apps auto-migrate with one-click. Mobile apps now build 3× faster.
Team plan subscribers can now create development branches, make changes in isolation, and merge them back — similar to Git branching. Long requested by professional teams.
Fixed significant performance degradation on apps with 1M+ rows caused by query planner regression. Apps now load 40–60% faster under heavy data loads.
Rebuilt plugin API with TypeScript support, better error handling, and a new sandbox testing environment. Developer documentation fully rewritten.
